🌻 Created beauty and supported Ukrainian soldiers.
Today, five women and one man participated in a masterclass under the watchful eye of master @kulikova_irina_, learning various embroidery techniques and decorating their own clothes.
🪡 Participants embroidered sunflowers and the coat of arms of Ukraine on shirts, bags, tops, and t-shirts. They chose their own patterns, with most opting for complex techniques but using the familiar sunflower motif.
It was challenging but interesting, said the participants of the masterclass. Some of them already have a passion for handicrafts, while others were embroidering for the first time. For example, a Dutchman from The Hague held a needle with thread for the first time – he came to Rotterdam to create something beautiful for his Ukrainian girlfriend ❤️
The several-hour workshop flew by quickly with conversations, jokes, and reminiscences about Ukraine. The owners of @lila.bakery.nl, where the class took place, created a warm atmosphere by serving tea and Easter treats to the embroiderers.
🙌 The masterclass was organized as an auction. In total, along with a separate auction in Delft @zeilenvanvrijheid, €180 was collected.
The charitable contributions will be donated to Cultural Descent @culturaldescent.
