Daria Lysenko is a Ukrainian poet writing in both Ukrainian and Croatian. She was born in Kyiv and studied in both Kyiv and Zagreb, earning her Master’s degree in German Studies and Art History in 2017. After russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she moved to the Netherlands, where she now lives and work in The Hague.
Her first poetry collection, I Have No Explanation for This, was published in Croatia in 2017. Since then, her poems have appeared in various anthologies and literary journals across Ukraine, Croatia, and the Netherlands. In 2025, she became a member of the Croatian Writers’ Association.
